Members' Bios
· Ron sings vocals and plays rhythm guitar. His love of music started early with middle school band playing the trumpet. He did this through school and still plays. He has been in several bands and choirs and just loves the freedom of music. He is having a blast playing with Classic Meltdown.
Bob has been playing guitar since he was 12 years old. Pretty much self taught, Bob began learning scales, then chords, then eventually songs and solos. His first band was called "The Harlan and Marlan Experience". 'Raw energy combined with comedic lyrics' was how the band was billed. Since then, Bob has been in and out of bands. At any given time Bob has a few irons in the fire including, Rushmore (a tribute to RUSH) which has played at local Raleigh venues. Classic Meltdown is a variety of music Bob has grown up with and he enjoys playing the band very well.
Scott has been playing Bass for over 30 years and has been in numerous bands over many years. His influences are Geddy Lee, John Entwistle, Chris Squire, and John Paul Jones. His equipment: 72' Fender Jazz American Bass, Apeg PF-500 bass head, Hartke XL 115 cabinet, Akai S5000 Digital Sampler with a TON of samples, MIDI Keyboard controller, Roland MIDI pedals
Derek has been playing the drums since he was 16. After High School he played with various bands. In 1992 he recorded an album with the band "Once upon a tyme" that was based in Kernersville,NC. From 1994 to 1997 he played with the popular hardcore band from Greensboro "The Contagious Agents". After a break from music he moved to Boston for a year to study Piano Technology and is now a Piano technician. Today he enjoys playing the drums and making music with Classic Meltdown.
